Construction begins on Adams Avenue

Road construction on Adams Avenue began on July 11. The road will be closed to thru traffic until the construction is finished. The project duration is five months.

Road closed signed will be placed at East 1st Street/Highway 190 and Adams, Third Street at Adams; and Sixth Street at Adams.

All residents who live on Third Street or Adams Avenue will have access to their homes via entry off Third Street.

Residents living on Adams Avenue will be allowed access to their homes via safe driving past road closed signs off Third or Sixth Streets.

No other traffic will be allowed in the road closed work area. Detour signs will be placed.

The road improvement project is part of the City of Cameron’s EDA Road Improvement Project. The project will add turn lanes and reconstruct Adams Avenue.
