Mueck honored for Lifetime Achievement by CVFD
The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department held their annual Ladies Appreciation and Awards Banquet on Friday in the Williams Event Center.
The night was dedicated in honor of fallen Cameron Police Department Sgt. Joshua Clouse, who died in the line of duty in May. His wife and children were present and presented all first responders in attendance with a blue ribbon as a gift for their services and honor.
Among awards, Reese Fail was named Rookie of the Year. The Fail family kept on a roll with Alvin Fail being picked Firefighter of the Year. The Officer of the Year went to Interim Fire Chief James Pratt. Mark Boyer was honored with the Chiefs Award and Ralph Mueck was chosen for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mueck has served in the fire service since March of 1998. He joined as a firefighter and then rose to a driver/engineer. He is also an EMT in the department and has CPR certification.
He is also a weather watcher spotter who is deployed when bad weather is in the area. He holds a firefighter 1 and M2 hazmat certification with the Fireman’s and Fire Marshall’s Association of Texas.
Mueck currently holds the rank of driver and he is employed by the City of Cameron. He is a lifelong resident of Cameron.
