Newcomer’s Social planned for Sept. 28

New residents and residents who have been in the Cameron area for a while, are invited to attend the Second Welcome to Cameron Newcomer’s Social on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The social will be held at Milam County Historical Museum at 112 W 1st Street in Downtown Cameron, TX 76520.

Complimentary light appetizers and wine cocktails will be served.

Milam County Historical Museum is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.  Artifacts and memorabilia are housed in two locations, the downtown museum and the Old 1895 Jail Museum which houses exhibits and displays of both law enforcement and everyday life in 19th and 20th century Texas.

We invite you to come and learn a little history about our county and view our historic collections from the past. You will also learn about the opening of the highly anticipated Milam County Railroad Museum and Old Town Cameron display.

New can mean 1 week or 20 years! It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the community and meet new people. Everyone has a different definition of “new” so if you are new, returning to Cameron after being away or have been here for a while, please join us.

This event is generously sponsored by Jorgito Media and Hot Corners Food and Catering. If your business would like to sponsor our next quarterly Newcomers Social, please contact Casey Cargle at casey@triplecwinery.com.
