Yoe cross country compete at Triangular

The Yoemen cross country team hosted the Milam County Triangular at the Junior High on Sept. 13. 

Kiera Land was the lone varsity runner for the girls team and finished third with a time of 10:30. 

The varsity boys competed against Rockdale and Aggieland and finished second with a combined total of 30 points. 

Leading the way for the Yoemen was Damon Flemings, who finished second with a time of 10:47. Right behind him was Josh Jochec finishing third with a time of 18:14. Brady Havens was next to come through, finishing seventh with a time of 11:33. Alejandro Silva was next, finishing eighth with a time of 11:40. Ricardo Reyes was next, finishing tenth with a time of 11:46. Zachary Frausto was next, finishing in 11th with a time of 11:50. The last to cross the finish line for Cameron was Marbel Reducindo. Reducindo finished 18th with a time of 12:51. 

On Sept. 16, the Yoemen cross country team competed in the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islander Splash at the Dr. Jack A. Dugan Family Soccer & Track Stadium in Corpus Christi. 

There were no girls that ran varsity. 

The varsity boys competed against 67 other schools and finished 55th with a combined total of 1508 points. 

Leading the way for the Yoemen was Brady Havens, who finished 25th with a time of 18:47. Next for Cameron was Josh Jochec finishing 164th with a time of 22:32. Zachary Frausto was next to come through, finishing 168th with a time of 22:34. Ricardo Reyes was next, finishing 170th with a time of 22:35. Marbel Reducindo was next, finishing 178th with a time of 22:47. The last to cross the finish line for Cameron was Alejandro Silva. Silva finished 191st with a time of 23:05. 

Up next for the Yoemen is the Dale Keen Invitational on Sept. 22 at the Junior High in Cameron.
