Yoemen look to district play after falling to Bellville
The Cameron Yoemen football team hosted the Bellville Brahmas on Friday. Cameron was defeated by Bellville 56-22.
Bellville stayed in control for most of the first half, leading 21-7 at halftime. The Brahmas continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring Cameron 35-15 to beat the Yoemen 56-22.
Braylan Drake had a good game, throwing for 181 yards and two touchdowns. D’Auntray Bradley also had a great game, catching two passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Kason Goolsby was also very productive, catching four passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.
Up next, the Yoemen will host the Lorena Leopards for their district opener. The game will be on Friday and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
