Lady Yoe second at Whitney
The Cameron Lady Yoe basketball team participated in an in-season tournament over the weekend hosted by Whitney. Cameron finished the tournament with a record of 3-1 and finished in second place. The Lady Yoe played two games on Thursday, the first game was against the host Whitney Lady Cats. Cameron was victorious, defeating Whitney 43-40. Their next game was against the Turner Lady Lions, and they defeated Turner 53-43.
Their next game was a matchup with the Cayuga Lady Cats, and Cameron defeated Cayuga 50-48 in a hard-fought game. With this victory, Cameron advanced to the championship game against the Lady Lions of Grapevine Faith Christian. Cameron was defeated 63-28 to finish in second place. The Lady Yoe traveled to take on the Snook Lady Jays on Tuesday December 5. Cameron fell to Snook in a tight game 40-36. With this loss, Cameron now has a record of 8-4. Up next, the Lady Yoe will be hosting their annual Cameron Classic tournament this weekend. Their scheduled games will be the Florence Lady Buffs on Thursday December 7 at 8 p.m. and the Holland Lady Hornets Friday December 8 at 5 p.m. Saturday will be championship tournament play.
