Chamber to celebrate 90th Anniversary Awards Banquet
The Cameron Chamber of Commerce would like to invite the Cameron community to a celebration commemorating their 90th Anniversary, dedicated to supporting local businesses since 1934.
The celebration and awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 6-9 p.m. at The Venue on Railfan at 101 E. Main Street in historic downtown Cameron.
Sponsorships for this 90th Anniversary are available now and tables and ticket sales will go on sale soon. Seating for this event will be limited so please make plans early to attend. The Chamber is seeking a Diamond Sponsor to set the tone for this amazing night. Diamond Sponsor will have the opportunity to offer a celebratory toast and receive benefits and special recognition as the event underwriter.
The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. with a Wine Reception sponsored by Citizens National Bank. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s meal will be prepared by a collaboration of a few of Cameron’s finest caterers: Barbara Dominguez with HC Services, Sam Berry with Circle S BBQ & Catering, and Agnes Kostroun & Family Catering. This consortium has created a menu sure to show off their culinary talents. Guests will start off the night with HC Services, charcuterie selections and wine. There will also be a dessert and coffee bar to enjoy.
The annual chamber banquet is a time to recognize businesses and organizations in our community. Nominations for the awards are currently being taken through the chamber website. Visit Cameron-tx.com for a list of awards and criteria for each.
The chamber is pleased to have Texas Agricultural Commissioner, Sid Miller, as the 2024 key-note speaker. Commissioner Miller is an eighth-generation farmer and rancher and the 12th Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). Miller has been the state’s leading advocate around the world for Texas agriculture, Texas-grown products, and Texas-owned businesses.
He oversees TDA’s world-renowned GO TEXAN program — a marketing effort to showcase the best products, companies, and communities that call the Lone Star State home. Commissioner Miller will be sharing insights on the rich historical background of Milam County agriculture.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to show off why Cameron’s business roots run deep; 90 years is truly a tribute to how we are still growing strong.
