Milam County 4-H Consumer places third at Nationals
Milam County 4-H members competed at the National 4-H FCS Championship in San Antonio on Jan. 12, 2024. They won third place overall with many other placings in the categories.
Milam County 4-H is so extremely proud of Macy McDaniel for winning reserve champion overall in the consumer contest and Robert Miller for placing fifth overall! The whole team placed in the top 10 individually including Jack Luckey who placed sixth overall and Klay Eschberger who placed tenth overall. This is a great success. The team won Champion (first place) in placings and Reserve Champion (second place) in Reasons. The team also won fifth place in Group think. They did an amazing job, and a lot of hard work was given by these four 4-H members!
The team consisted of Klay Eschberger, Macy McDaniel, and Jack Luckey who are members of the Rockdale 4-H Club and are juniors at Rockdale High School, and Robert Miller is a 4-H member from Gause 4-H Club and a senior at Milano High School.
We want to say thank you to all the supporters and sponsors of their team! We could not have gone this far without all of you! Also, thank you to the families of these four and their moms and family members who attended the contest to cheer them on.
