Early voting begins for CISD election

Early voting begins for the May 4 Cameron ISD Board of Trustees Election on Monday.

Early voting will run from April 22-26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and April 29-30 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cameron City Hall, 100 South Houston Avenue in Cameron.

Election day voting will be held at Yoe High School, 303 East 12th Street in Cameron on Saturday, May 4, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Five candidates have filed for three at-large positions on the board.

Incumbents Franci Denio and Annisha Williams have filed along with John Anderle, Galdino Banda and Linda Richter.

There will be no May City Council election this year.

The Cameron City Council is set as there are no contested races for the open spots on council.

Councilman Nathan Fuchs will become Mayor. 

Jeremy Vaculin will represent Ward 1. Tommy Harris will represent Ward 2. Incumbent Jimmy Pratt will remain representing Ward 4.
