Milam Community Theater, 4-H set youth theater camp

Milam Community Theater in partnership with Milam County 4-H will host a one-day Youth Theater Day Camp Tuesday, July 9, at the Williams Event Center in Cameron.

Youth will learn from theater veterans and educators about the theater and performing arts, play games, learn about props, costumes, makeup, stage lingo, lights, sound and more.

Workshops will be held in the morning and afternoon sessions will include rehearsals for short readers theater-style performances. Parents, grandparents and friends are welcome to watch the performances, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Registration is open to children ages 5-18 and is $65 per child. The registration includes classes, two show tickets, snacks, lunch and a t-shirt. Scholarships are available. Registration deadline is July 1.

Additional show tickets are $5 each. The concession stand will be open at the performance.
