Milam Master Gardeners to host biology professor
Chad Cryer, Cameron native and Temple College biology professor, will be the guest speaker before this month’s general meeting of the Little River Basin Master Gardener Association.
Cryer has grown and taught a class called Research Methods in Biology at TC’s Hutto campus for the past three years. The course gives students the opportunity to ado hands-on research projects, collecting and analyzing data, as well as presenting that data at science conferences.
The students’ novel research projects involve everything from hummingbirds to lichen to mites to bees... and the interplay between these species.
LRBMGA is pleased to invite the public to this event. Cryer will have several students on hand to explain and answer questions regarding their current research.
The meeting will be held at the Milano Civic Center, 120 West Avenue E, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
