CISD calls for May election

The Cameron ISD School Board called for a May election for two spots on the Board of Trustees.

Positions held by Dr. Isaiah Logan and Alan Patterson will be up for election on May 3.

Anyone wishing to file to run for school board has until Feb. 14 to do so. You can file or find out more information at the Cameron ISD Administration Offices, 304 E 12th Street in Cameron.

The board also held a public hearing on the district’s Texas Academic Performance Report from Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mistie Dakroub. They also heard reports from campus principals about the first semester at their campuses.

The board also approved an agreement with Classic Bank to replace the scoreboard at the Lady Yoe Softball Field in exchange for advertising.

The board also approved the final change order for the May 2022 Bond and received a refund of $10,028.

During the meeting administration and campus principals honored the board members for School Board Appreciation Month.
