Master Gardeners announce annual Spring Plant Sale

The Milam County Master Gardener Plant Sale is just around the corner, offering local gardening enthusiasts an excellent opportunity to stock up on plants for the spring season.

The sale will take place on Saturday, March 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Milam County Expo Building, located at 301 South Houston Street in Cameron.

Shoppers can expect a wide variety of plants, including native species, EarthKind varieties, pollinators, succulents, herbs, roses, and trees, alongside a robust selection of blooming plants and vegetables. This annual event is a perfect chance to bring home plants suited to the local climate and to enhance gardens with selections that support the environment. Alongside this, interested parties can visit with Master Gardeners who are a wealth of knowledge about proper planting techniques, as well as upkeep for each species.

Attendees can also participate in a raffle, with winners being announced throughout the day.

The event is organized by the Little River Basin Master Gardener Association, a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization affiliated with the Milam County AgriLife Extension Service.

Those with disabilities needing accommodation to participate are advised to contact the County Extension Office at least one week prior to the event to request assistance.
