Anna Laura Gibson

Anna Laura Gibson, 90, of the Salty Community, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, in Round Rock.

Anna was born on March 7, 1929, in Appleby, Texas. She was a daughter of Conda Herbert and Emma Ethel (Rambin) Muckelroy.

Anna and Charles “Hoot” Gibson Jr. were married in January of 1951 in Appleby, Texas, and had lived in Rockdale, Houston, Sealy and had moved to the Salty Community after “Hoot” retired.

Anna was a devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She had been a member of the Town and Country Club of Thorndale since 1984.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Hoot” Gibson Jr.; her son, Sam Taylor Gibson; parents, Conda and Ethel Muckelroy; grandson, Ethan Taylor Johnson; grandson-in-law, Billy Parr; siblings, Delbert Muckelroy, Bill Muckelroy, Leta Crunk, and Mildred Boening; brother-in-law, Grady Gibson; and mother and father-in-law, Charles and Ellye Rhae Gibson.

Anna is survived by daughters, Becky Hozak and husband Alan of Wallis, and Paula Johnson of Thorndale; grandchildren, Karey Reber and husband Jason, Katie Parr, and Trevor Johnson; great-grandchildren, Hannah Reber, Chase Parr, Kendra Reber, and Jacob Alvarado; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, from 2-3 p.m. at the Salty Community Church near Thorndale with a funeral service at 3 p.m.
