Cruz Reyes Jr.

_{Cruz Reyes Jr., 72, of Cameron died Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, in a Temple hospital.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with a visitation on Monday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery.} 

_{Mr. Reyes was born June 18, 1949, in Cameron, to Cruz Reyes and Basilia Salazar.  He married Elena Reina on Dec. 14, 1974. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Church. He was a Yoe High graduate, severed in the United States Air Force, retired from Alcoa after 35+ years and later went on to manage the Cameron Country Club.} 

_{He is preceded in death by a brother Ruben Reyes.}

_{He is survived by: wife: Elena Reyes of Cameron; son, Joel Reyes of Cameron; daughter, Melinda Reyes of Cameron; brothers, Jesse Reyes of Cameron, George Reyes of Belton, Joe Reyes of Cameron, and Jimmy Reyes of Bryan; sisters, Helen Reyes of Cameron, Millie Mendoza of Pettibone, Esther Perry of Georgia, Delia Eicke of Temple, Mary Christopher of Llano, Basilia Nelson of Kingwood; and Martha Rios of Cameron; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.}
