_{Daniel C. Garcia Jr., 86, of Austin and formerly of Cameron died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at his home.}  

_{Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at St. Monica Catholic Church with Bishop Daniel E. Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at St. Monica Catholic Cemetery. A vigil and rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.}

_{Mr. Garcia was born on Aug. 10, 1935, in Cameron to Daniel and Dionicia (Castilleja) Garcia. He married Sarah Munoz on Oct. 25, 1959, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 2012.}  

_{Mr. Garcia worked for Coca-Cola and 7-UP bottling companies, Royal Seating, McAtee Cabinets and Veterinary Arts center. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.} 

_{He was also preceded in death by 11 siblings.}  

_{He is survived by: son, Most Reverend Daniel E. Garcia of Monterey, Calif.; and daughters, Sylvia Garcia of San Antonio, Rebecca Garcia of Houston, and Lydia Garcia of Austin.}
