Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Brandes Davis

Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Brandes Davis, 89, of Conroe, and formerly of Cameron, passed into eternal rest May 31, 2019, in a Conroe Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Corpus Christi, to parents, Walter Charles Brandes and Agnes Bowen Brandes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 65 years, James Wallace Davis Sr.

She is survived by her four sons and their wives, James Wallace Davis and Sandra of Ruston, La., Charles Davis and Marilyn of Pasadena, David Davis and Karen of Searcy, Ark., and Allan Davis of Conroe; and her sister-in-law, Helen Raulz of Corpus Christi. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  

A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, June 4, from 6- 8 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. in Cameron’s Oak Hill Cemetery with Eugene Van Noord and Jim Davis officiating, and under the direction of Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Memorial Donations may be made to Central Texas Children’s Home, Medina Children’s Home or Sunny Glen Children’s Home.
