James Dollar Fail
James Dollar Fail departed this world for a heavenly journey on Thursday, July 25, 2019, in North Carolina.
He will be remembered on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with visitation/viewing from 5-6:30 p.m. and a service following at 6:30 p.m.
James was born on June 20, 1980, in San Antonio. He was the son of Alvin H. Fail III. He was raised in Hanover from 1983 until 2001 and graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in 1998. He attended Mary Hardin Baylor and Texas State University. He attained both a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree in Communication Studies from Texas State University. He was a carpenter by trade and spent his life exploring the world, finding beauty, making people laugh, and loving everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin H Fail Jr. and Maxine Gandy Fail; and his father, Alvin H. Fail III.
He is survived by his life partner, Karie Kirkpatrick of North Carolina; his brother, Alvin H. Fail IV and wife Crystal and nephews, Reese and Rylee Fail, of Cameron; a sister, Dawn Fail Phillips and husband Cody of New Braunfels; aunt, Michelle Fail Smith and husband Billy of Austin; and aunt, Zeta Fail of Bryan.
