Jimmie Morris Henry

Jimmie Morris Henry, 76, of Cameron died Friday, April 19, 2019, in a Cameron nursing and rehab center. 

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the Little River Cemetery Pavilion near Jones Prairie. Visitation will be Monday noon until 1:30 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Henry, owner and operator of JHL Truck and Equipment, was born June 29, 1942, in Birmingham, Ala., to Marvin and Ruth (Hunter) Henry. He married Lynda Rodgers on June 13, 1969, in Houston. He was a member of Battetown Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Craven. 

He is survived by: wife, Lynda Henry of Cameron; sons, Mark Henry and wife Krista of Holland, Jim Henry and wife Susan of Midland, Richard Henry and wife Jennifer of Enterprise, Ala., and Casey Henry and wife Jessica of Boerne; daughter, Katie Huntley and husband Darrold of Belton; brother, Marvin Henry of Coker, Ala.; sisters, Peggy Henry of San Antonio, and Nancy Mitchum of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
