Jimmy Earnest Riggs Jr.

Jimmy Earnest Riggs Jr., 57, of Cameron, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, in a Temple hospital. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Visitation was held before the service. Burial will be at a later time.

Mr. Riggs was born May 13, 1962, in Richmond, to Jimmie Ernest and Barbara Kay (Welch) Riggs. He had worked in construction for most of his life. 

He is survived by: son, Jimmy Riggs of Willis; mother, Barbara Perry of Cameron; step-daughter, Stephanie Lynn Mitchell of Nevada; sister, Kay Riggs of Cameron; brothers, Allen Wayne Riggs of North Carolina, Roy Franklin Riggs of North Carolina, Glenn Dale Riggs of Maysfield, and Larry Oscar Riggs of North Carolina; and three grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
