LaRaye Fisher

LaRaye Fisher, born Feb. 23, 1961, to Harold and Opal Belle Fisher of Houston, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2019, at the age of 58. Services were held April 15.

She leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Amanda Belle Fisher and Rachel Elaine Raasch, and four adorable grandchildren, Cameron Ray and Audrey Jeau Caso and Justin Wayne and Olivia Elaine Hensley, whom she treasured above all else.

She was raised in Houston and worked at The Fisher Surveying Company until it closed in 1996.  She also worked for many years with her friends at Spring Overhead Door Company.  At the time of her passing she was employed by Texas Department of Criminal Justice in the Polunsky Unit.

More than anything else, she loved her daughters and grandchildren.  She was very proud of the amazing young women her daughters became and their precious children. LaRaye always saw the beauty in life and she enjoyed art, music and reading. She was most at home in the country surrounded by nature and family.  Her generosity knew no bounds.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Darrell Glenn Fisher and William Robert Layne. 

She is also survived by her siblings, Dodie Wilkins, Gloria Beam Elliott, Harold Blaine Fisher Jr, Cheryl Lynn Fisher and John David Fisher; as well as numerous aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.
