Louis William Hollas

Louis William Hollas, 87, of Cameron, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at a hospital in Temple. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron. Burial will follow in the St. Monica’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, from 4-6 p.m. with a rosary recited at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hollas, an electrician, who also served in the Texas National Guard, was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Edna to Richard Hollas and Annie (Karnowski) Hollas. He married Shirley Scarborough on Oct. 31, 1953, and they were married for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and sisters, Ellenora Kleypas and Bernadette Hanel.

He is survived by: sons, David Hollas and wife Yulan of Walnut Creek, Calif., Dennis Hollas and wife Marji of Keller, and Stephen Hollas and wife Lori of College Station; daughters, Linda Blinka and husband Patrick of Cameron, and Laura Dohnalik and husband Craig of Bryan; brother, George Hollas and wife Eleanor of Cameron; and sister, Alieen Beck of Temple.
