Luke Jackson
Luke Charles Jackson, 56, of Corsicana, formerly of Dallas, passed away on Feb. 2, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and close friends.
Luke was born in Houston on July 11,1964, where he was adopted along with his twin brother Mark Jackson by the nurse in charge of thier delivery, Mary Alice Jackson Jr.
Luke lived most of his younger life in Cameron and he graduated from Cameron Yoe High School in 1982.
Luke met Roy Jackson in November of 1985 and the two were married on Nov. 20, 2015, the 30th anniversary of their first meeting. Luke was the President and CEO of Sungate Management, Inc in Dallas, a company owned by Luke and Roy. They both retired from Sungate Management, Inc. and moved to Corsicana in 2018.
Luke was proceeded in death by his adoptive mother, Mary Alice Jackson Jr. and his stepson, Brandt Lee Jackson.
Luke is survivied by his spouse, Roy Jackson of Corsicana; his step-daughter, Britney Staats of Phoenix, Ariz.; his twin brother, Mark Jackson and wife Sherry of New Braunfels; his in-laws, Roy Lee Jackson and Mary Jackson of Lott; his brother-in-law, Jeff Jackson and wife Lori of Lott; his biological parents, James and Jane Woodcock, his brother, Ronnie Woodcock and wife Stephanie, and sister, Jamie Edwards, all of Roundhill, Ken.; and his sister, Kim Henry and husband Brian of Camillus, N.Y. Luke is also survived numerous nieces and nephews.
Luke was an avid dog lover and he was involved in the rescue and adoption of numerous dogs thoughout his lifetime. Luke enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and close friends but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with Roy and their three dogs Baby, Petey and Jack.
Memorial Service arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donantion be made in his name to the SPCA, American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
