Marilyn H. Tidwell

Marilyn H. Tidwell, 62, died May 21, 2020, in West Palm Beach, Fla.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1957, to the late L.V. Miller Sr. and Dora Ruth Henderson Miller. She attended C. H. Yoe High School in Cameron. After graduation she attended Temple College for Business. She accepted Christ later in life attending Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Cameron. She started out her career in Florida as a bank teller and then in Texas as an Insurance Agent.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, L.V. Miller Sr. and Dora Ruth Miller; and by her brother, L.V. Miller Jr.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory to one daughter, Kimbley Lorane Miller (Peanut); two grandsons, Giovanni Demascio Miller-Johnson and Somari E’mon Wright; one great-grandson, WaQuavion Lee; and a very special friend, John Jordan; one stepson, Tyler Jordan; five brothers, John L. Melton (Beverly), James E. Melton Sr., Quincy Miller, Marvin Miller, and Clarence L. Miller; and three sisters, Christine Howard (John), Deloris Melton and Sandra Haynes.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.  Burial will follow in the Cameron Rest Cemetery.
