Michael Anthony Salazar

Michael Anthony Salazar, 36, of Belton and formerly of Cameron, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at his home. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Salazar was born Aug. 18, 1984, in San Jose, Calif. He worked in construction and remodeling.

He is survived by: parents, Mary Alvarado and Raymond Borgas of Cameron and Anthony and Rosie Salazar of Sacramento, Calif.; wife, Kristin Roberts of Belton; daughters, Kathryn Salazar of Abilene and Makenna Salazar of Rockdale; step-son, Ian Garcia of Belton; sisters, Veronica Bolivar and husband Ricardo of Cameron, Angelica Salazar of Temple and Ashley Borgas of Temple; brothers, Julian Borgas and wife Sonya of Cameron, Raymond Salazar of Sacramento, Calif., and Christian Salazar of Sacramento, Calif.; grandparents          , Eleno Alvarado Sr. of Cameron, Frank and Eva Borgas of Cameron, and Mary Vega of Rockdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
