Nicolas Perez

Mr. Nicolas Perez, 83, of Gause, passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at his residence.

Services for Mr. Perez will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron, with Rev. Antonio Vasquez officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation for the family will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Perez was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Castulo and Maria (Huitron) Perez. He worked in the agriculture industry. He was an accomplished accordionist and his passion was composing and performing music. Mr. Perez was known for his caring heart and his generosity. He would often extend his help to people in need, whether he knew them or not. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include: his wife, Alicia Perez; son, Juan Perez and wife Mayra, of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; daughters, Estella Botello and husband Jesus of Rosharon, Silvia Rodriguez of Florida, Angelina Rodriguez and husband Carlos of Houston, Rosa Pena and husband Benito of Gause, Sonia Vasquez and husband Javino of Florida, and Camelia Saravia and husband Alex of Houston.

He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Perez was preceded in death by one daughter, Noemi Garza.
