Prentis Bismark McGoldrick

Prentis Bismark McGoldrick, 90, of Cameron, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in a Temple hospital. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.on Monday, July 1, 2019, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Geoff Lightsey officiating. Burial will follow in the North Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. McGoldrick, a retired foreman for the Texas Department of Transportation, was born Dec. 31, 1928, in Cameron to J. D. and Lonnie (Weidman) McGoldrick. He married Minnie Alice Cowan in 1953. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a life member of the VFW Post 2010 in Cameron. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cameron. 

He is survived by: wife, Minnie Alice McGoldrick of Cameron; sons, Dr. Prentis McGoldrick Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va., and Harold Ray McGoldrick of San Antonio; daughter, Janet Villanueva of Cameron; brother, Leon McGoldrick of West; sisters, Eloise Alford of Rockdale, and Bernice Scarborough of Cameron; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
