Ronald Jasper Shelton

Ronald Jasper Shelton, 81, of Cameron died Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in Polk County, near Livingston. Private family services will be at a later date.

Mr. Shelton was born Sept. 4, 1940, in Cameron, to Max L. and Dora Frances (Bell) Shelton.  He married Gloria Ann Marak and had retired from Alcoa in Rockdale, as a machinist. 

Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Tim Shelton and by a brother, Donald Shelton.  

He is survived by: wife, Gloria Shelton of Cameron; sons, Michael Shelton and wife Melissa of Cameron and Scotty Shelton and wife Debbie of Cameron; daughter, Valerie Andress and husband Larry of Cameron; brother, Rick Brock of Georgetown; sisters, Margie Light and husband Randy of Dallas and Margie Shelton of Cameron; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his four-legged companion “Bo.”

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
