Wayne Offie Vincent Sr., 72, of Minerva, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, at his home. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Minerva Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday morning beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until service time.

Mr. Vincent was born June 30, 1946, in Culver City, Calif., to Joe Otha Vincent Sr. and Georgianna (Dewey) Vincent. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Barbara Ann Rhoades on May 28, 1971. He retired from G.T.E. after more than 26 years of service. He had served as an Assembly of God Minister for almost 50 years, serving his last 10-1/2 years at the First Assembly of God Church in Cameron. He was a member of the Cameron Ministerial Alliance, where he had served as past president and he was a member of the American Legion in Rockdale. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Vincent. 

He is survived by: wife, Barbara Vincent of Minerva; sons, Wayne Vincent Jr. of Mexia, and Ryan Vincent of Corsicana; daughters, Elaine Gillen of Kerrville, and Deanna Senko of Midlothian; brothers, Joe Vincent Jr. of Georgetown, and Bill Vincent of Texas City; 13 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
