80 years ago, they were all heroes
Last Thursday was D-Day and I started to write about that for last week’s paper, but I decided to take the week to soak up all the remembrances and tributes before I sat down to write this.

Often times I use these column inches for some in-depth discussion on something. This week I thought I would just take some time and discuss a couple of items going on in Milam County.
When I was a kid, it seemed like all the older gentlemen of the community were members of the American Legion or the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
This week’s article is somewhat of a reprint of one from last year and is going to be very direct – GO VOTE!!
Last year I thought I would spend this newspaper space extolling the virtue of Motherhood and the love our Mother’s have for us (NOTE: the word Mother should always be capitalized).
