Bulldogs defeat Holland, Kovar gets to 1,000 points

The Thorndale Bulldogs basketball team traveled to take on the Holland Hornets on Friday, Feb. 2. Thorndale defeated Holland, winning 44-38. 

Kaden Kovar had a great game with 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Jacob Jackson was also great with 13 points and five rebounds. Braden Pickel was fantastic awith eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Bulldogs returned home on Friday, Feb. 6, to host the Hearne Eagles. Thorndale was dominant over Hearne, winning 59-27. 

It was also a special day for Kaden Kovar, as he surpassed 1,000 career points. 

With this victory, Thorndale now has aa record of 27-3 and a perfect district record of 10-0 and is ranked #6 in the state in 2A in the TABC polls. 

Up next, the Bulldogs will stay home to host the Milano Eagles. The game will be on Friday, Feb. 9, and tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
