District UIL Winners

Thorndale High students competed in the District Academic UIL meet a few weeks ago. Placing were the following. Calculator Applications - Kelsey Kovar in fifth place, and Miranda Moody in eighth place. Computer Applications - Lacie Penney in third place and a Regional Qualifier, and Julliette DeMaio in sixth place. Copy Editing - Samantha Sanders in first place  and a Regional Qualifier, and Emmerson Fisher in third place and a Regional Qualifier Current Issues - Roy Moody in fourth place and a Regional Alternate, Jack Herzog  in sixth place, and Ben Myers in eighth place. Editorial Writing - Kyndal Robinson in fifth place. Feature Writing - Dori Ginn in fourth place and a Regional Alternate. Headline Writing - Bella Roberson in fourth place  and a Regional Alternate. Mathematics - Roy Moody in eighth place. Number Sense - Emmerson Fisher in third place and a Regional Qualifier

Poetry - Natalie Garcia in third place and a Regional Qualifier. Science - First place and a Regional Qualifier, Emmerson Fisher in second place and a Regional Qualifier, Roy Moody tied for fifth place, and Alexa Denman tied for fifth place. Regionals are on April 23 in LaVernia.
