TISD names new principals at middle, high schools

Thorndale students returned to classes on Aug. 14 with a few new principals.

Scott Frei, a longtime teacher and coach in TISD, has moved over to bring principal of Thorndale Middle School.

Michael Young remains the principal at Thorndale Elementary.

Jennifer Parnham will serve as Thorndale High School principal. Parnham comes to Thorndale from Leander ISD. She has been in education for 36 years.

“We are really excited to welcome the new principals,” TISD Superintendent Adam Ivy said. “They have already began to establish a culture of cooperation.” 

Ivy said they are working hard to make sure Thorndale ISD works as a whole across all campuses, not just focusing on their specific campus.

“They have already gotten all their staffs together and are creating a great atmosphere for our students to learn in,” Ivy said.
