Lady Yoe fall to Academy

The Cameron Lady Yoe softball team traveled on Friday to take on the Little River Academy Lady Bees. The Lady Yoe fell to Academy 12-6.

Cameron was tied at three with Academy after three innings, then the Lady Bees pulled away for good with nine runs in the fourth inning. Cameron scored two runs in the sixth inning, but it would not be enough as they would fall 12-6.

Cameron hosted the Lexington Lady Eagles on Tuesday on senior night. The Lady honored their seniors: Lauren Harris and Sam Frausto. The Lady Yoe fell to the Lady Eagles 12-2 in five innings due to the ten run rule. Lexington got off to an 11-0 start and Cameron couldn’t catch up.

With this loss, the Lady Yoe have a record of 11-18-1 and a distinct record of 3-10.

Up next for the Lady Yoe will be a road game against the McGregor Lady Bulldogs for their regular season finale. The game will be Friday and first pitch is set for 7 p.m.
