Lady Yoe take win over Academy

The Lady Yoe volleyball team took home a five-set win on Tuesday against Academy. 

After dropping the opening sets 28-30 and 10-25, Cameron came back to win the next three by scores of 25-15, 25-19, and 15-9. 

Haley Tucker had 10 kills on the night and Makaelyn Perez picked up 16 digs. 

Ja’Kerra Holt pitched in with 15 assists and four blocks. 

Tucker, Ainsley Driska, and Analiese Salazar had two aces each. 

The JV A team also won taking two of three set to earn a victory. Scores were 25-20, 24-26, 15-5.

The JV B team fell in three sets 13-25, 25-21, 10-15.

The Lady Yoe volleyball team suffered a tough loss Friday night in district play when they were swept by .

They dropped sets 25-20, 25-12, 25-22. 

Tucker had 11 kills, 11 digs, and nine assists in defeat. 

Holt added nine assists, 13 digs, and two blocks. 

The JV A team lost to Rogers in three sets 25-12, 22-25, 16-14. 

The JV B team was swept 25-16 and 26-24. 

The Lady Yoe have an open date this Tuesday but will be back in action against Lexington on Friday in Lexington.
