Lady Yoe track finishes strong in Taylor

The Lady Yoe track team competed at the Taylor Invitational Track Meet on March 11.

They had an outstanding day with several first place finishes. Yierra Flemings earned high point female athlete for the meet.

Logan Pevehouse got first place in the 3200. The 4x100-meter relay team of Brittani Drake, Yierra Flemings, Lauren Harris and Brandi Drake placed first. Flemings got first place in 100-meter hurdles.

Brandi Drake and Brittany Drake finished first and second in the 100-meter dash. Ja’Kerra Holt placed fourth.

Holt also placed third in the 400-meter dash and Lauren Harris placed fourth.

Flemings placed first in the 200-meter dash,  Brittani Drake place fifth, and Harris placed sixth.

Holt placed first in high jump. Flemings placed first in long jump and Brittani Drake placed third.

In the triple jump Flemings was first, and Brittani Drake was second. Holt placed first in pole vault.

Junior Varsity results were as follows: 4x100 - third place team - Trinity Kelley, Jaycee Wimmer, Chloe Woodard, LaVina Brown; 100-meter dash - LaVina Brown, third place; Jaycee Wimmer, fourth place; Trinity Kelley, fifth place; 1600-meter run - Gaby Garcia, second place; long jump – LaVina Brown, third place; Trinity Kelley – fifth place; high jump – Ainsley Driska, third place.
