Throughout these last few months, Yoe High has been participating in a 7-on-7 football league. So far, the Yoemen have done very well.
They competed in three games on Friday, June 11, in Cuero.
They were victorious in their first game of the day as they defeated the Cypress Christian Warriors 28-14. They played their second game and unfortunately lost to the Smithville Tigers 20-14. Their final game would be played against the El Campo Ricebirds. They would fall to El Campo 28-14, which would end their day at one win and two losses.
In addition, they participated in a team practice with the Temple Wildcats in Killeen on Tuesday, June 15.
Later in the month and in July they will begin the offseason workouts and skills practices.
The coaching staff for the team are Rick Rhoades, Lupe Florez, and Tyler Blackshire. They hope the players on the Cameron 7-on-7 roster can use this valuable experience and can compete for high value playing time and make big time contributions for the football team this upcoming fall regular season.
