Yoe Cross Country gains experience at McGregor Invitational

The Cameron cross country team competed at the McGregor Invitational on Aug. 31. 

The girls team consisted of four runners: Alex Daniel, Crystal Reyes, Kiera Land, and Claire Kopriva. 

Alex Daniel was the first Cameron runner to cross the finish line, finishing 36th with a time of 15:17.60. Crystal Reyes was next, finishing 39th with a time of 15:25.40. Kiera Land was the next runner to finish, coming in 42nd with a time of 15:38.80. Claire Kopriva was the last runner to cross the finish line at 55th with a time of 17:41.10.

The boys team also consisted of four runners: Zach Frausto, Esteban Luna, and  Steven Marquez. 

Ricardo Reyes was the first runner for Cameron to cross the finish line, coming in 10th with a time of 18:30.4. Esteban Luna was next, finishing in 14th with a time of 18:54.5. Zach Frausto was next at 14th with a time of 16:05.40. Steven Marquez finished next at 23rd with a time of 19:28.3. Zach Frausto was the last runner to cross the finish line at 39th with a time of 21:02. 

Up next, Cameron will be running in the Region 2 Preview. The meet will be on Saturday, Sept. 7, in Arlington.
