Yoe cross country runs in ProFit

On Friday Sept. 1, the Yoemen cross country team competed in the ProFit Invitational in Temple. 

There were no girls that ran varsity, Kiera Land had the race of the day. She showed great stamina, finishing in second with a time of 15:17. Madilyn Orocio also competed in the meet. She was able to cover the two mile course, finishing 90th in a time of 23:32.

The varsity boys competed against 20 other schools and finished third with a combined total of 96 points. 

Leading the way for the Yoemen was Damon Flemings, who finished seventh with a time of 17:31. Teammates Josh Jochec and Brady Havens were right behind him, with Havens finishing in eighth and Jochec finishing in tenth. The time for Havens was 17:39 and  Jochec was 17:51. Newcomer, Alejandro Silva, was next to come through. Silva finished 36th with a time of 18:38. Zach Frausto was next, finishing 38th with a time of 19:16. Cesar Munoz and Marbel Reducindo were the last to cross the finish line for Cameron. Reducindo finished 93rd with a time of 21:09 and Munoz finished 116th with a time of 22:17.
