YOE BASKETBALL
The Cameron Yoemen basketball team traveled to take on the Little River Academy Bumblebees on Friday, Jan. 5.
Cameron was victorious, defeating Academy 53-25.
On Tuesday, the Yoemen hosted the Lexington Eagles.
Cameron was victorious, defeating Lexington 71-58.
With this victory, Cameron now has a record of 12-10 and a district record of 3-1.
Up next, the Yoemen will travel to take on the McGregor Bulldogs.
The game will be on Friday, Jan. 12 and tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
LADY YOE BASKETBALL
The Cameron Lady Yoe basketball team traveled to take on the Little River Academy Lady Bees on Friday, Jan. 5. Cameron fell to Academy, losing 53-25.
On Tuesday, The Lady Yoe hosted the Lexington Lady Eagles. They were victorious, defeating Lexington 42-34.
With this win, Cameron now has a record of 14-7 and a district record of 2-4.
Up next, the Lady Yoe will travel to take on the McGregor Lady Bulldogs. The game will be on Friday, Jan. 12, and tip-off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
YOE WRESTLING
The Cameron Yoe wrestling team had some great wrestling over the last two weeks at the Rouse invite and the Centex Invitational. Cameron traveled to Leander on Dec. 28 and 29 for the Rouse invite.
Brady Havens competed and won two matches and lost two but did not place. Adawnia Young was the only varsity wrestler to place and finished second. Byron Crittendon also competed for JV and finished second and Landon Terry finished in third place. Theoden Young also competed hard and finished in third.
Cameron traveled to Belton on Jan. 5 and 6 for the Centex Invitational.
They had a tough time in Belton, as no one placed in a top spot. Brady Havens still competed hard, winning four matches but still was unable to place.
Tiara Reducindo had a great performance. She won two matches even despite being in a heavier weight class than normal, wrestling at 120 lbs.
Cameron will be back in action again during the weekend of Jan. 12 and 13 in a matchup hosted by Lee High School in San Antonio.
