Yoemen fall to Academy
The Cameron Yoemen football team traveled to take on the Little River Academy Bumblebees on Friday. The Yoemen were defeated by Academy 36-28. Cameron fought Academy tooth and nail in the first half, as the game would be tied at 21 going into halftime. After a scoreless third quarter from both teams, Academy pulled ahead in the fourth quarter, outscoring Cameron 15-7 to win 36-28. Despite throwing an interception, Braylan Drake played a good game, throwing for 135 yards on 10 completed passes. Kardarius Bradley (pictured at top) had a great game as well, rushing for 141 yards and three touchdowns. Ja’Quorius Hardman was also very impactful, catching five passes for 82 yards. With this loss, Cameron has a record of 1-5. The Yoemen will host the McGregor Bulldogs on Friday at 7:30 p.m. for Homecoming. Bottom photo, Tavares Crittendon tackles an Academy player.
