Yoemen fall to Franklin to move to 2-2 in district
The Cameron Yoemen were soundly defeated by Franklin, losing 76-35 on Nov. 1.
The Lions pulled away early, outscoring Cameron 35-7 in the first half.
There was very little defense in the second half and Cameron showed more life on offense. Franklin outscored the Yoemen 41-28 in the second half to win the game 76-35.
De’marques Lopez-Pinchback was very productive, rushing for 61 yards.
Tim Grice helped carry the team on his back, throwing for 51 yards along with rushing for 159 yards and three touchdowns. He also contributed on special teams, returning a kickoff for a touchdown.
With this loss, Cameron now has a record of 2-7 and a district record of 2-2.
Up next, the Yoemen will travel to take on the Little River Academy Bumblebees for their regular season finale.
The game will be Friday, Nov. 8, and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
