Yoemen fall to Mexia

The Cameron Yoemen football team traveled to take on the Mexia Blackcats Friday, Sept. 27.
Cameron was shut out by Mexia, losing 35-0.
Mexia started the game strong, outscoring the Yoemen 21-0 in the first half. The Blackcats continued the shutout in the second half with 14 more unanswered points to beat Cameron 35-0.
Cameron had very little to cheer for most of the game. The Yoemen were limited to just 134 yards of total offense in the contest.
With this loss, Cameron remains winless at 0-5. The Yoemen will not be playing this week as it will be their bye week.
Next up for the Yoemen will be against the McGregor Bulldogs for their homecoming game. The game will be Friday, Oct. 11 and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
