Yoemen, Lady Yoe both defeat rival Rockdale

The Lady Yoe and Yoemen got a couple of big wins just before Christmas as they both defeated rival Rockdale.

The Yoemen defeated Rockdale 100-48 to move to 1-0 in district play.

Every player who saw the court scored for Cameron. 

Ke’Vaughn Booze and Azi Haynes paced the scoring effort with 17 points each.Phaibian Bynaum, Javoun Goldsby, Nolan Brashear, and Zakorien Spikes all pitched in with double-digit scoring efforts.

The 21st-ranked Yoemen will return to the court against Rogers on Dec. 29.

The Lady Yoe beat Rockdale 44-30 at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Kaly White led the Lady Yoe with 20 points. Ja’Kerra Holt added 12 points during the win.

Other Lady Yoe scoring were: Yierra Flemings with eight, Aliyah Salazar with three and Camryn Ward with one.

The Lady Yoe improve to 1-1 in district play and 4-8 on the season.

They will travel to Thrall on Dec. 29 for a non-district game and then to Rogers for a district matchup on Dec. 30.
