Chamber Business of the Month

The Cameron Chamber of Commerce wilcomed Milam County WIC with a ribbon cutting on March 29. WIC is a supplemental nutrition program that helps families; be it a single pregnant mom about to start her family or an established family with multiple children. WIC is not a welfare program and is very different from SNAP/Food Stamps. WIC provides support and inspiration to eat right, have a healthy pregnancy, breastfeed successfully, and raise amazing kids. Milam County WIC began in 1998. They have full-time clinics in Cameron and Rockdale and recently started doing one day a month clinics in Buckholts and Thorndale. They are located at 211 South Houston in Cameron.
