Milam County Commissioners named Kenzie Oliver as the County Emergency Management Coordinator and received updates on other projects during a meeting Monday.
Milam County voters will decide two primary races in a runoff election on May 28.
Starting on May 17 the Rockdale Substation of the Milam County Tax Office will be closed until further notice.
Pvt. First Class Oliver H. Lankford, a U.S. soldier who served in World War I, was posthumously responsible for an impromptu gathering at the Milam County Courthouse on Monday afternoon.
