Frances Ella Vogelsang,
104, of Cameron died Friday,
Jan. 4, 2019, at a Cameron
nursing facility. Funeral services
were held Monday, Jan.
7, at Marek-Burns-Laywell
Funeral Home in Cameron
with Rev. Doug Budd officiating.
Burial was in the Oak
Hill Cemetery. Visitation was
held before the services at the
funeral home.
Mrs. Vogelsang was born
Jan. 27, 1914, in Milam
County to John and Mary
Adamek Svetlik. She was a
1932 graduate of Yoe High
School and she married Frederick
William Vogelsang on
June 14, 1934. She was a
member of the First Presbyterian
Church in Cameron.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, by two
grandchildren and 10 siblings.
She is survived by: sons, William
Iven Vogelsang and wife
Joyce of Cameron, Ernest
Vogelsang and wife Linda
of Lexington and Frederick
James Vogelsang, and wife
Janice of Vogelsang Community;
daughters, Frances
Walzel of the Salem Community,
Betsy Dorward and
husband Russell of Clifton,
and Mary Jane Bartlett and
husband Jimmy of San
Angelo; 17 grandchildren; 40
great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to
the First Presbyterian Church
in Cameron or to the charity
of donor’s choice.
