Lady Eagles fall to Granger
The Milano Lady Eagles (11-13, 5-3) fell 47-45 at Granger on Tuesday in District 25-2A play. Milano jumped out to a 16-8 lead in the first quarter and held on to a slight 25-24 advantage at the halftime break. The Lady Eagles trailed 32-33 after the third quarter before falling 45-47. Hannah Batten put up 21 points to lead Milano’s effort and Faith Walton added 11. Sage LoBue put up five points and Abby Miller added four. Sterling Robertson and McKenna Robertson both recorded two points. The Lady Eagles took down Holland 41-29 on Friday at Geneva Paceley Gym. Milano was up 23-8 at halftime. Sterling Robertson put 18 points and Batten joined her in double digits with 10. Walton score four points and LoBue added four. Miller recorded three points and McKenna Robertson contributed one. Milano will host Mumford on Friday and has an open date on Tuesday.
